ghost - Early in 2017, vocalist improviser Sage Pbbbt gave a series of ritual-performances involving the invocation of various entities. Sage's practice made a strong impression in me as I grew up in a household where spirits were acknowledged as part of the everyday.When I presented my ideas to them during a rehearsal, some of their interactions and personal styles were incorporated into the piece, making the composition a very spontaneous process. ‘Ghost’ is informed by these memories and is dedicated to Lindsay, Kirsten, and Jameson.
